This new league is not associated with the CSA, but provides an opportunity for families to continue to pursue recreational soccer in the Gateway Community. With flag football on the fields on Tuesday nights, our program will occur in the spring season out on field 5. Sorry about any confusion, but we were not even sure until the very last moment that it was even going to be able to occur. Thanks for your understanding. Thursday night will still occur on field 2.

We will be on Field 5 at the Gateway Soccer Complex. All coaches, regardless of age division you are coaching or experience level are welcome and encouraged to come. Friday, July 23rd is the last day to turn in your registration in order guarantee a roster spot. We will continue to accept registrations until each division is maxed out, so if you still need a form please email Jonathan@csasoccer.net . From now until August 3rd, CSA will be in the process of dividing up teams and scheduling the season. You will be called and given your team information the week of August 3rd.

Referee Certification:
Referees, I have listed classes to Certify/Re-Certify for your review. To all those that plan on refereeing with CSA this Fall, we will have a mandatory meeting on Thursday, August 26th at 6pm. Meeting will last 1 hour. Meet at the pavilion next to the concession stand.

There are a couple of local classes being offered for certification as a Grade 8 (Entry Level) Referee. You must visit www.fsr-inc.com to register. 2 hours of online instruction and 10 hours of class time instruction and exam. Cost is $100.

Fort Myers on August 2nd – August 5th from 6pm – 8:45 pm. You must register by July 29th.
Naples on August 19th (6pm – 9pm) & August 21st (8:30am – 5:30pm). You must register by August 15.

As always, registration will be held in the front pavilion of the Gateway Soccer Complex from 9am – Noon. We are continuing to accept sponsorships as well, so if your company or a company you frequent sees this as a good opportunity, please complete the form found on our website and return. This league is not possible without the financial support of our local businesses and we appreciate all that they do!

The registration form for the Men’s League is located on our website and we would love for more people to play this upcoming season. Maybe the World Cup has inspired you to get back on the field. We had a great time in the Spring and expect even more fun during the Fall.

Please fill out the registration form which is found on the home page of our website. Return with payment at any of the designated youth registration dates, via mail, or drop off at Gateway Baptist Church (located across the street from Gateway Soccer Complex). Format of the league will depend on our registration numbers. For example, this past spring we played 7 v 7 on a U-10 Field. Note, the Men’s League follows a code of ethics based on Christian values and wants to attract only those that can adhere to those values (i.e. Language and attitude). Submitted by Fred on Tuesday March 16, 2010 : Photography packets will be handed out this weekend. Jay Buchanan Photography will be at CSA all day, Saturday, March 20th, passing out picture schedules and order form envelopes to team mom’s for distribution to the kids on each team. Actual individual and team photographs will be taken on Saturday, March 27, and Saturday, April 10. The schedule is split because CSA has no games scheduled for Easter weekend.

Submitted by Fred on Friday March 12, 2010 : All CSA games have been cancelled for Saturday, March 13th. Due to the excessive rains received over the last 24 hours, the Gateway Services District has closed the fields to all league play for the entire weekend. If you are a coach or team mom, we would ask that you personally contact the children on your roster to make sure everyone gets this notice. The GCSA developmental program on Tuesday and Thursday will continue as scheduled. All CSA games will resume next Saturday, March 20th.

The meeting will occur at 7:00 PM at the Gateway Baptist Church. The church is located right across the street from the soccer fields, so you can’t miss it. Schedules and rosters will be distributed at the meeting, so you won’t want to miss it.

Submitted by Scott on Mon. January 25, 2009 : New Extended Deadline for Registration! CSA has scheduled an additional sign-up day for the spring season. The next sign-up will occur on Saturday, January 30th, from 9 AM until noon in front of the concession stand. Also, if you can’t make it on Saturday, there are blank registration forms available in the box outside the concession stand near the snow cone window. Simply fill out the form and mail it in along with your payment to the P.O. box listed on the registration form.

We will be passing out trophies to the coaches for their teams. Coaches you will need to turn in your player evaluations. Please use a copy of your roster and the instructions at the bottom to complete it. This will be required to pick up your trophies. Coaches, trophies will not be available until Saturday morning.

At this time registration fees posted on our website (Gateway resident Child#1 - $62.00 All other children in family - $52.00 and Non-Gateway resident Child#1 - $82.00 All other children in family - $52.00) will be collected at tomorrows registration. If the fees we pay are less than the above amounts, CSA will refund any difference. CSA is looking into other options to help offset some of the raising field usage costs to the children such as field sponsors, ball sponsors, net sponsors, Big Board Sponsors, etc.

Schedules were passed out to coaches at Saturdays games and will be posted tonight at the fields. We will get them online as soon as possible. Also, playoff games will not start until Thursday night, November 6th. Practices on Monday and Tuesday 3rd and 4th will be open to all teams. Coaches with regularly scheduled Monday or Tuesday practices - please make room for any coaches from Thursday night practices that may come out. There will be no practices next week, only playoff games.

Our Allstar tournament will be held in January. Please visit the concession stand to pick up an application for your child. Also, the Carnival will be held from November 21 - 25 at Riverside Church on Daniels. Advance discounted tickets can be purchased from the concession stand through November 17th.

Submitted by Kim at Fri Sep 8 06:09:25 2006 : Today is Friday, September 8th. We will be making a decision later this afternoon whether or not we will be able to play Jamboree games on Saturday. We will post this decision about 4:00 this afternoon - please check back.

Submitted by Kim at Thu Sep 7 10:49:15 2006 : Today is Thursday. September 7th due too all the rain and our field conditions, all practices for tonight are canceled. Please check back Friday regarding Jamboree games. If you are a coach or team mom and need to pick up uniforms - we will be at the fields tonight from 6-7:30 to pass them out. Once again uniforms will only be given to coaches or team moms. Game and Jamboree schedules are also posted online.
